In our commitment to sustainability and environmental protection, we are thrilled to announce another year of reducing our Carbon Footprint (CF) for the year 2023. This effort reflects our ongoing dedication to minimizing the environmental impact of our operations and contributing positively to climate change.
Carbon footprint 2023 results.
In 2023, Daplast made significant progress in reducing its greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions. Here are some of the highlights:
- Relative emission reduction: While absolute GHG emissions remained similar to those in 2022, we have continued to reduce emissions relative to our activity. Thanks to the significant increase in production, we have achieved a relative reduction of 7.27% in the three-year system, consolidating our positive trend towards sustainability.
- Renewable Energy Production: The installation of photovoltaic panels in 2022 has borne significant fruit in 2023. The energy generated by these panels increased in 2023. This increase allowed renewable energy to represent 11.5% of our total energy consumption in 2023, compared to 3.5% in 2022.
- Equipment Improvements: We have replaced an old, high-energy-consuming injection machine with a new, more efficient technology machine. This measure has not only reduced our energy consumption but has also improved our production capacity.
