Daplast celebrates 50 years as a manufacturer in 2023. An intense and brilliant trajectory closely linked to the Cordovan family that manages the company. Its founder Mr. Rafael P\u00e9rez Esparza started his activity in the 70s. Nowadays, the second generation manages the company, a team responsible for the last 30 years of Daplast\u2019s history, its internationalisation and the current challenges to continue being market leaders.<\/p>\n

Daplast cumple 50 a\u00f1os como fabricante en 2023. Una trayectoria intensa y brillante muy ligada a la familia cordobesa que gestiona la empresa. Su fundador D. Rafael P\u00e9rez Esparza inici\u00f3 su actividad en los a\u00f1os 70. En la actualidad, la segunda generaci\u00f3n dirige la empresa, equipo responsable de los \u00faltimos 30 a\u00f1os de historia de Daplast, de su internacionalizaci\u00f3n, y de los actuales retos para seguir siendo l\u00edderes en el mercado.<\/p>\n

The pioneer years<\/h2>\n

Daplast was founded in 1973 by Rafael P\u00e9rez Esparza under the name of Distribuidora Andaluza de Pl\u00e1sticos, the name from which our brand name originated.<\/p>\n

Our activity was focused on the design and manufacture of plastic crates for the fruit and vegetable industry, in line with the growing demand resulting from the replacement of wooden crates by plastic ones.<\/p>\n

For several decades, our customers have included the main fruit and vegetable cooperatives in Andalusia.<\/p>\n

We start designing seats<\/h2>\n

In 1978, Rafael P\u00e9rez Esparza detected the growing demand for seats for stadiums and sports facilities, as an element of safety and comfort. It was an unknown sector for the company but an attractive one for diversifying markets and products. In that year, the current Daplast factory was purchased and new seat designs and moulds were developed.<\/p>\n

With the investment in a metal workshop and the hiring of technical staff to design metallic bleachers, we began to install the first Daplast bleachers in Spain. Due to the innovation in both lines, we had a great reception in the market.<\/p>\n

We equip the main Spanish sporting venues<\/h2>\n

In 1986 we installed more than 50,000 grandstand seats at the Circuito de Velocidad de Jerez, internationally known for hosting F1 competitions during the 1980s.<\/p>\n

This project made us well known in Spain. In addition to the sports venues we had already equipped in the early 80\u2019s, we installed seats in most of the Spanish first and second division football stadiums.<\/p>\n

We designed more models of seats, obtaining a wide range of models, from seats with and without backrests to folding seats. In the 80\u2019s and 90\u2019s we obtained a wide experience equipping with seats and bleachers a long list of sports venues all over Spain.<\/p>\n

International projection<\/h2>\n

The 2000-2010 decade was very important for us. Real Madrid CF and FC Barcelona also decided to choose us to equip their stadiums, and later on, the Circuit de Catalunya did the same.<\/p>\n

We continued to expand our experience in large projects, and we were already leaders in Spain in seating and bleachers for sports facilities.<\/p>\n

Internationally, in 2002 we equipped the sports venues of the Central American Games and several stadiums in the United Arab Emirates.<\/p>\n

Comenzamos a dise\u00f1ar asientos<\/h2>

En 1978, Rafael P\u00e9rez Esparza detect\u00f3 la demanda creciente de asientos para estadios e instalaciones deportivas, como elemento de seguridad y de comodidad. Era un sector desconocido para la empresa pero atractivo para diversificar mercados y productos. En ese a\u00f1o se compraron los terrenos actuales de Daplast y se desarrollaron nuevos dise\u00f1os y moldes de asientos.<\/p>

Con la inversi\u00f3n en un taller met\u00e1lico y la contrataci\u00f3n de personal t\u00e9cnico para dise\u00f1ar tribunas met\u00e1licas, comenzamos a instalar las primeras gradas de Daplast en Espa\u00f1a. Por la innovaci\u00f3n en ambas l\u00edneas, tuvimos una gran acogida en el mercado.<\/p>

Equipamos los principales recintos deportivos<\/h2>

En 1986 instalamos m\u00e1s de 50.000 plazas de tribuna en el\u00a0Circuito de Velocidad de Jerez<\/strong>, internacionalmente conocido por albergar competiciones de F1 durante los a\u00f1os 80.<\/p>

Este proyecto nos hace muy conocidos en Espa\u00f1a. A los recintos deportivos que ya hab\u00edamos equipado en los primeros a\u00f1os 80, se suman la instalaci\u00f3n de asientos en la mayor\u00eda de los\u00a0estadios de f\u00fatbol de primera y segunda divisi\u00f3n espa\u00f1ola.<\/strong><\/p>

Dise\u00f1amos m\u00e1s modelos de asientos obteniendo un amplio cat\u00e1logo de modelos, desde asientos con y sin respaldo, hasta asientos abatibles. Proyecci\u00f3n Internacional<\/h2>

La\u00a0d\u00e9cada 2000-2010 fue muy relevante<\/strong>\u00a0para nosotros.\u00a0Real Madrid CF y FC Barcelona<\/strong>\u00a0tambi\u00e9n decidieron elegirnos para equipar sus estadios y, despu\u00e9s, hizo lo propio el Circuito de Catalunya.<\/p>

Seguimos ampliando nuestra experiencia en grandes proyectos, siendo ya l\u00edderes en Espa\u00f1a en asientos y tribunas para instalaciones deportivas.<\/p>

A nivel internacional<\/strong>, en 2002 equipamos los recintos deportivos de los Juegos Deportivos Centroamericanos y varios estadios en Emiratos \u00c1rabes.<\/p>

En la \u00faltima d\u00e9cada hemos multiplicado nuestra presencia tanto en el \u00e1mbito nacional como internacional. Estamos orgullosos de haber equipado con nuestros asientos estadios y arenas en m\u00e1s de 120 pa\u00edses.<\/p>

Entre otros muchos, el Estadio Ol\u00edmpico de \u00c1msterdam, el estadio 5 de Julio de Argelia, el parisino Parque de los Pr\u00edncipes y el Comet Arena en ese mismo pa\u00eds. En Espa\u00f1a, el Celta de Vigo, el Mallorca, el Villarreal y el Osasuna confiaron en nosotros, entre otras entidades.<\/p>
